Three Things Thursday!

Three Things Thursday

So the week is almost over and it’s Thursday night and after a long day I can post my Three Things Thursday before Thursday is over!

ONE: My brother-in-law Roland is coming to Richmond for the weekend. His birthday was yesterday and so he is coming up to hang with his favorite little brother and they can do some manly things and watch the RedSox. It will be nice to see him, he’s a great guy and it’s good to see Bob spending time with him. I know it will be an active weekend, Saturday they are taking our kayaks out on the river so Roland can decide if he wants to buy one or not and some mountain biking is in store on Sunday!

Which brings me to TWO: Because they are taking out the kayaks and I was invited to go along with them – I know, how super nice was it of Bob to invite me to go with them and our 2 kayaks to the river.
Note that I said 2 kayaks…3 people…I asked Bob if I was to just sit on the shore and watch them? To which he basically said “yes, it will be fun”…um, not for me. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, it so happens that the swim portion of a triathlon I want to sign up for is being held in that very river location and, well we all know how much I suckola at swimming. The triathlon has a 30 minute time limit on the swim – so I think this whole “2 kayaks, 3 people” thing as a sign. I will take my wetsuit and head to the river and test and time the swim portion and see if I can beat 30 minutes BEFORE I sign up for the race! Perfect!

THREE: I am patiently waiting for the reply back from Newton to be part of their “Wear Test Program” group. I actually got a response from the Marketing Team after I sent in my offer to test, review, blog or whatever for anything Newton…especially since they have a new line of TRAIL SHOES coming out in August! They sent me the name of the head of the team, so I again pled my case and offered my services. I figured you never know until you ask so, I am hoping that the uber cute pictures of me wearing those Pink Distancia U’s is what throws them over the edge to pick me!

Run safe, run happy!
